ABOUT MADAME CHINNI
Bonjour! My name is Violeta Chinni and I am originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina. I started studying French when I was twelve years old and have been passionate about French culture ever since. In High School I had an opportunity to spend a year in France as an exchange student where I studied photojournalism. After graduating from Mansfield Senior High, I attended Mount Union College where I studied Communications and French. In 1998, I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in both fields.
I completed my student teaching at the Regina Coeli Catholic Academy in Alliance, Ohio and had an opportunity to tutor French in Mansfield City School district before becoming the French teacher at Galion High School. My goal as a teacher is to introduce students to the wonders of the French language, the second most taught language in the world after English, all while exploring the rich Francophone culture.
Currently, I teach three levels of French language (French 1, 2 & 3/4) at Galion High School and I am committed to organizing educational class trips to French-speaking countries or former French colonies. My classroom is located on the second floor of our High School, room 215, and I can be reached by email at [email protected] or by phone at 419.468.3432, ext. 12215.
Please feel free to reach out to me with any inquiries. À bientôt!
